Atelopus balios, also known as the Rio Pescado stubfoot toad is a species of toad in the Bufonidae family.[1] It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss. It was previously thought to be extinct[2], and was recently rediscovered in a hunt for missing amphibians.
